I have clients that travel to me from all over, frequently coming from Knoxville, Greeneville, Tazewell, Rogersville, Middlesboro Ky and I even have one sweet family that comes all the way from Lexington, KY. Almost every family asks me to recommend somewhere to catch a bite to eat after their newborn session. It just so happens that the sessions usually end right about time for some lunch. It's also usually the first time mom has had makeup on and out of the house for anything other than a doctor's appointment. I like to offer up local spots that are my favorites, and not the chains you can find anywhere.
For lunch, I love Redbud Deli. They are very close to the studio and have wonderful sandwiches. I feel like its almost a gourmet sandwich. Their soup is also great and if you love a little something sweet, they have you covered there as well. You can view their menu options here: https://www.redbuddeli.com/menu
Another favorite luchtime spot, is the Green Tomato Grill. Its a little further drive from the studio, but totally worth the drive. They have a huge selection ranging from country food to everyday favorites. Their fried green tomatos are delicious! I also love their green tomato dressing for dipping the chicken tenders. Many of my clients that are coming from Tazwell, and Middlesboro love to stop here on their way back home.
Timeless Elegance Tea Room is also a popular location and they are located right downtown. Many of my local clients love the Tea Room! It's also a great option for hosting small intimate events, like baby showers, bridal parties, etc.
For great coffee and pastries, I recommend stopping at 60 Beans. They are located just a street over from the studio. Sometimes dads will even walk over during the newborn session and grab something. I love their fruit lovers crepe. Its my favorite menu item. They have a cute relaxing seating area on the inside and also a small patio seating area. They also have a location in Jefferson city and just recently opened one in Rogersville.
We are so excited about the new addition of 1907 Brewing Company to downtown. Its Morristown's first taproom and brewery! They are located right below the studio and though they don't serve food directly, they have teamed up with local food trucks to offer different options. I am sure many of the dads will want to check them out!
